bangles on her arms
toned from carrying
the sousaphone
And frequent trips
to the gym.
Priya sharing smiles
and being fabulous.

Anand in red and gold
devilish in his muttonchops
boy/man in charge of logistics
all seeing eyes behind
studious dark frames
rolling at the failings
of lesser mortals.

embracing each one
who comes to wish her well
